A treat on World Book Day

It’s the eve of my trip to the Bath Literary Festival (in its 20th anniversary year) for a day of workshops and talks. Apposite, given that the visit also coincides with World Book Day. I am so very excited. Last year I took a memorable trip to the festival with my family; it was great fun but very different from how I imagine my brief sojourn will be tomorrow.

I┬áhave the luxury of a longish journey, so I’m taking ‘something sensational to read on the train’*. Not my diary, but H is for Hawk. Part diary and almost certain to be sensational. Also on the agenda will be tea and bookish chatter with my good friend L.

I’ll be back with a full report in due course. Meantime, take some time out on World Book Day to read, or just appreciate books. The fact of them.
